#3 in Las Vegas

Chris and I went to Las Vegas for our third wedding anniversary trip. We left May 4 2010, and came home May 6, 2010. Grandma and Grandpa Burks came and stayed at our house and watched the kids for us. Thank you!

We flew into the airport, then took a shuttle to pick up our rental car. A red, convertible Mustang. I don't care how old I get, convertibles are cool and fun to ride in. :) Even if it is an old Mustang.

We stayed at the Wynn Hotel. It is so beautiful and the service is great.

We had to go to the Gold and Silver Pawn shop. We watch this show on the History channel called Pawn Star, and I have learned so much about our country's history by watching the show. This picture is inside the shop. See Elvis?

Picture of the sign they always have on the show.

We parked on the wrong side of the building. Luckily, we didn't get a ticket because it's permit parking only. Ooops, I took a picture of the sign, but didn't read it.

Picture from the lobby of the Wynn hotel The colorful balls hanging from the tree are all fresh flowers. All different kinds of flowers of the same color. They were so pretty. This picture doesn't do them justice.

Our beautiful room. We upgraded our room when we got there. Totally worth it!

View of the golf course from our room window.

Hotel pools. Picture taken from our window of our room again. We never went swimming because we were so busy. Maybe next time.

The night we got there, we called Anna. Her brother, Tyler works as a musician in the show, Le Reve. She got a hold of him, and he got us tickets to the show. What an amazing show! We loved it.

Le Reve was at our hotel, so it was really convenient. It's a small theater so every seat is a good one.

Start of the show. We aren't supposed to take pictures, but I took a couple before it started.

See that cage? That's where Tyler was sitting, and the picture was taken from our seats, so we could look up at him and see what he was doing.

And the really cool part was he took us back stage after the show! We got to see the performers, the costumes, and see how they do things backstage. I took this one picture while we were waiting for him to change. I didn't take any other pictures because I didn't think I could. Tyler is the one on the top row, farthest right.

The next day we went to Woodlawn Cemetery where Chris' grandpa is buried. This is Bob's Dad.

It took us a while to find his grave, but we finally did.

Richard Burks died when he was only 42, if I did my math right. That's so sad. It is a bit of a mystery about how he died. He was an accountant at the Sands Hotel.

Then we went to Freemont Street. We gambled a little bit and had fun walking around checking everything out.

Chris had to go to the Harley Davidson store. It was huge. We got Dylan an outfit and Chris got a shirt, but he wished he could have walked out with a new bike.....maybe someday.

He's having fun dreaming for now though.

Two tough dudes.

When we got back to our room, there was a beautiful cake waiting for us. Pam called the hotel and had them deliver it to our room. It was so yummy!

It looked like an cute little gift....but you could eat it. Thank you Bob and Pam!

Then we went to another show that night. We went and saw the Blue Man Group. They did some cool stuff and they were entertaining, but I liked Le Reve better.

Going into the Theater

At our seats, quick pic before the show started.

After the show, the blue men come out front to take pictures.

Then we went to the Venetian Hotel and went on a gondola ride. Our driver photo-crashed our picture. She was funny, and a great singer.

I thought they went around the hotel, but you just go back and forth, but it was still fun.

This is Vegas' idea of a 1/2 sandwich and soup. The portions are huge! It was a boat of soup.

At the restaurant for breakfast the morning we had to leave.

The sign on the other side....We had such a great time. I can't wait to go back. Happy Anniversary, I love you babe!
