Chris and I had our 2nd wedding anniversary on May 5th. Chris planned a trip to Tahoe for us. We had a great time. The weather didn't cooperate, but we didn't let it stop us. We started out with a dinner cruise on the Queen Tahoe. We had a great dinner and went all over the lake. There was a live band and they were good. We ran into a group of people on a month-long vacation from India. They were very entertaining. When the band wasn't playing, they would sing Indian songs.
We stayed at Harvey's. We also went to a comedy show at the hotel. It was my first overnight without Dylan. Pam watched the kids for us so we could get away. It was nice for the two of us to have some time alone.
Pam watched Dylan for us when I had to go back to work. She watched him until May 4th. It was wonderful to have her here with us. She will be missed. Dylan officially started daycare on May 5th. He is going to an in-home daycare with Shannon and Whitney. They are mother and daughter and two of the nicest people. Dylan is doing great and adjusting to the change. He is very entertained by the other kids. I think he misses his Grandma though.
Then on May 8th the girls had their school Spring Fling fund raiser event. Here is Sophia doing the cake walk.
Sophia and her friend, Olivia. Yes, they are the same age and in the same class. Sophia is about a head taller than most of her classmates. Kailey is one of her best friends and they are close to the same height. (She is the one that did the talent show with her. )
Addison and her friends Heather and Victoria.
Another milestone for Dylan.....He is crawling now. He started to move on May 15th. This is one of his first crawling moments. He kind of tucks one leg under and pushes with the other foot. Now that he has been crawling for about two weeks, he is doing a more traditional crawl. He is also pulling himself up on furniture too.
Chris bought a new toy. The scooter has been replaced. He goes out for a ride when he can and is planning his first long ride to his parents at the beginning of June.
Sophia was the first to ride as a passenger. She really wanted to do it, and then when it came down to getting on the bike, she got scared. Once Chris had turned the corner around our block, she was loving it.
Bob and Pam came for a quick visit to return a trailer to Ryan. They are remodeling the outside of their house and took the trailer up to deliver a load of siding. Dylan loves shoulder rides.

For Memorial Day Weekend we went to the Sacramento County Fair. This is the only picture I took though because after I took this picture the battery died. And Crystal left her camera in the car. We went with the Smiths, and had fun. The kids rode the rides, we watched the talent show, the girls got their faces painted, they went inside the petting zoo, and we bought matching wagons for the kids. Addison wasn't on this trip because she went camping with Victoria's family at the coast.
The next night we went to Ryan and Crystal's for dinner. Yummy, Yummy. It was a relaxing weekend, which is what we needed.
And Sophia is taking a more traditional gymnastic class.
And tonight was the 7th and 8th grade final dance of the school year. It was a more formal dance. The girls all wore dresses....normally they wear jeans or shorts. She looked so nice all dolled up.
Addison and Victoria after the dance. Victo is spending the night tonight. I think we have a sleep over almost every weekend we are home. Part of the fun of having girls I guess. Luckily, they both have great friends, so it's nice to have them over.

GREAT posting on your blog Kelly! I loved all the pictures and the crawling video. Chris' motorcycle looks really nice! Addison looked so cute in that dress. I didn't know both girls were doing gymnastics. Sophia looks happy. That "concentration look" that Dylan is making (the upper lip covers the lower lip) looks like the same one Grandpa Jim makes when he is working on something hard to do. We tease him about it, but it is much cuter when Dylan does it. Your blog makes me want to hop in the car and come see you. Thanks for the conference call tonight at Crystal's house. I love you all very much.
