Soccer 2010 End of Season Party

Soccer season is finally over. Sophia had a great time playing and really progressed as a player this season. She can twist that LONG body.....no problem.

The team had their end of the season party at the bowling alley.

They had pizza and soda for lunch, then bowled some more.

Here's Soph and her friend Aiden, who spent the night with us and went to the game and party the next day.

Coach Matt....the only coach who was able to come to the party. The Head Coach, Amanda, and other Asst. Coach, Charlie couldn't make it. What a bummer. So Coach Matt handed out all the trophies.

I made this quilt for Coach Amanda and had all the girls sign it and write her a message. Here's all 13 girls. From top Left: Cameryn, Elizabeth, Alisa, Sophia, Kailey, McKenzie, Shaley, Adelene, Lyndi, Lindsey, Jazmin, Sarah, and Lorena. 'Til next season girls....it's been fun!

Dancing Dylan

I love to watch Dylan dance. He has some signature moves. They dance at daycare everyday, and Shannon says that he always gets into it.

23 Years of Change

Chris' parents bought him a Coca-Cola penny bank when he was 9 years old. He has been dropping change in it ever since. He decided to count it since he is on vacation. We weighed it before the counting began. It's hard to read, but it says 85.2 pounds!

The bottle is plastic, and it cracked when we moved here, but the movers duct taped it.

Everyone got busy rolling coins. We borrowed the coin counter from an officer Chris works with.

It was easier to rip into the side of the bottle since it was broken already.

The worker bees. They worked from about 1 pm to 8 pm on Veteran's Day. Look at all those rolls!

FINALLY, the bottle was empty. They look exhausted.

Any guesses on how much?

Chris spent his years of coin savings on a new DROID X for himself, and since the girls did the majority of the work, he decided they earned a nice reward. He was very generous, and took them the next day to the shoe store and bought them each a pair of UGGS!

Soccer Sophia

Sophia has become quite the soccer player this year. She made her first

goal this season and has been more aggressive about chasing after the ball. It's been fun watching her play.

Side kick.

Get that ball!

Team huddle at half time.

Dylan's first mohawk.

Daddy and D watching Sophia play.

Halloween 2010

The Halloween weekend started with Trick or Treating at my office. Each department brought food and dressed up.

Dylan was taking it all in. There was a lot to look at.

The witches in the Human Resources Department.

The Toy Story Gang

I won the prize from the Special Ed. Dept. It was a pumpkin with 9 gift cards in it. Woo-Hoo!

The Business Department dressed up as Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. I was the only dwarf that wore my beard for the picture.

Saturday we carved pumpkins at the Smith's.

Dylan's finished Jack-o-lantern.

The boys and their pumpkins

Addison chose a very complicated bird pattern.

The finished products

All the kids glowing pumpkins.

Then we went trick or treating Halloween night. Addison passed out candy, Payton as Jessie, Sophia, the cowgirl, Dylan as Woody, Alex the snowboarder, and Owen as Buzz Lightyear.

Sophia couldn't be happier with her candy.

Woody and his loot

The Smith's finding their favorite candies. It was a fun night.
